Abstract
The cheap and easy maintenance is one of the basic elements for good computer sofware. Because so called complete (no bug or error free) software could not be exist. Moreover, even the stable software that have few bug requires new function or module day by day. As the same reason, clinical chemistry laboratory computer system should be upqraded.
Brief contents of maintenance experience of our laboratory computer system are summarized as followings. 1) The 24 hr¢¥s Urine Chemistry Management program is developed. 2) The laboratory data can be transfered from Hitachi 747, new chemistry analyzer, to laboratory computer system on-line bases. 3) The delta and panic check list, result list and various report forms are improved for convenient use. 4) Computer monitor screen format is deferentiated and rearranged for their easy and prompt inquiry of test result. 5) The laboratory tests requested form outside hospital, the laboratory tests for physical health check-up results inquiry program is developed. 6) The test names which were writen on list or screen are unified.
It is important to maintain software as its most convenient from for the better use of them. This will be achieved not only by the software engineers but also by the users. Our experience for the revision and ?maintenance of clinical chemistry laboratory computer software would be useful for developing the forthcoming order communication system and their users.
